this saturday, come see me at the 9th annual book arts festival at the minnesota center for book arts! get a jump start on your holiday shopping… there will be letterpress, artist’s books, hand-bound journals, handmade papers, prints and posters, and other fabulous handmade gifts and keepsakes (and me with my goods!). open book, 1011 washington avenue south. 10am – 5pm.

after you’ve visited me, make your way to the handmadeMN market in uptown. there will be over 45 sellers – i’ve met many of them and they make great stuff! ballentine vfw, 2916 south lyndale avenue. 10am – 6pm.

seriously, why do i live in such a handcrafter’s backwash?? you know what i’m thinking – maybe it’s my job to get something like these events started around here. springfield is only 30 miles away and is a big enough community to support these kinds of art festivals. adding it to my business to-do list right now!

My second grader went on a field trip today to the Center for Book Arts and got to make an accordion book. How cool is that!?
In-laws are coming to town on Saturday, but am hoping to swing by at least one of these sales!
