construction update ii

dining room
the construction is done, the contractor has been paid, and i’m still working on a few finishing touches: stripping layers and layers of paint from the heat register covers (i hadn’t planned on keeping them, but a miscommunication with the contractor resulted in me needing to keep the duct-work as-is, and i cannot find new replacements); installing dimmer switches and a new thermostat; replacing the pendant light i bought for the dining room that you see above: the shade doesn’t hang straight and the light output is too poor for me to work under at night.
but it’s almost finished! now i just need to furnish it. and find the money for the furnishings… the final reveal may be a month away…
