Happy #2! I can’t believe that much time has past. OK, I shouldn’t win since I already have one of your wire ts, though I’d have a hard time saying no to one in that grey.
OK, cold remedies - no such thing. Something to make you feel better - chrysanthemum tea. It has bee pollen for energy and honey for soothing the throat. Also, sitting on the couch knitting does wonders.

hot veggie soup from quang. if you want me to run and get you some, let me know! and lots of tea (cinnamon & cardamom from the republic of tea is my drug of choice right now) and vitamin c.

I make a tea of hot water, honey, lemon juice and thyme (fresh or dried). It tastes very similar to a cough drop, but in a good way! It’s very soothing on a sore or irritated throat.
Love the t-shirt!

Happy Birthday!
I love me some Good Earth (original) tea.
A mug of that, Bridget Jones on the t.v. and a warm blankie. That works for me.

I love green tea, chicken soup, a pair of warm wool socks, and a good nap. I also heard zinc never hurt. Cold season, argh! Happy blogiversary!

happy anniversary!
sorry to hear you aren’t feeling well, hopefully you are just getting the obligatory winter cold out of the way now.
My remedies include - vitamin c, zinc lozenges, vitamin d and oil of oregano. Oil of oregano burns but it works, add it to a bit of after and shoot it back (vs putting it directly into the mouth). Of course hot baths, pjs and ginger & lemon tea with honey don’t hurt either.
get well soon

I’m a big fan of dosing myself w/ Tylenol and consuming mass quantities of vitamin c & zinc. My husband really likes to drink boiled ginger water.
This is a great giveaway, btw.

Sorry to hear you have a cold. I don’t know of any great remedy, but what works for me is to stay hydrated and get plenty of rest. Curl up in bed or on the couch and read a book, catch up on blogs, and/or have a movie marathon. Hope you’re feeling better soon!
Congrats on 2 years! To many, many more…

oh no- the ick is no fun.
I usually go get a huge bowl of pho ga and add exrta rooster sauce (er, cock sauce as I like to joke).
I then make lots of cups of gypsy cold care tea - throat coat or just the echinacia (sp?) depending on what is feeling icky.
and then if all else fails, I hit the NQ bottle and sleep it off
congrats on two year- I think it was just my 4 or 5th (ack!)

Happy Anniversary!
The best cold remedy is to use a sinus rinse, then get plenty of sleep. Works every time!

Tried cold remedy: orange juice with honey, a bit warm. Sounds a bit disgusting and I don’t see how it helps. Maybe all that vitamin C? Don’t know. But I always got that when I was at home. Everything with honey actually! ahahaa tea with honey, orange juice with honey!
And sleep a lot! You can do it! Stay in bed!
Get well soon.

Quite love your blog! Congrats on your blogiversary.
For colds, I like zinc lozenges, a warm sweater and socks, curled up with a quilt and a mug of tea, watching Spinal Tap.

Sorry you’re catching a cold! I swear by the Emergen-C drinks…they’re loaded with vitamin C and tons of other good stuff. When I feel a cold coming on, I start drinking those, three or four a day. They’re little packets of powder you just mix with water, easy to carry with you. It seems to work for me! (And happy blogiversary! What an awesome giveaway.)

Happy Blogiversary. You might want to try my cold remedy as a toast…
My Dad always makes me a drink of honey, lemon, hot water and whiskey. I always feel much better after that.
My son swears by chicken soup but maybe that’s because he isn’t old enough to drink whiskey.
