(i’m not sure why gus is in every picture. he does tend to follow me around…)
i decided this was the fall i’m going to remodel my living room and dining room. i’ve been writing a post in my head about all of the reasons why i sold all my furniture and ripped apart a third of my little house… but i’ve decided to just keep this short and show some pictures for now.
(i think needing to walk my dogs, try to go for a run, shower, and be fully dressed before the contractor walks into my house at 7:30am every weekday morning for the last 2 weeks is starting to get to me.)

did you rip down all the plaster and put up drywall because the walls were cracked/wonky? or was it so you could insulate? or both?
what else are you going to do?
and have you bought all new furniture?!?
(sorry, the architect in me can’t just accept “short w/ pictures”:))

Morning Gus! And Susan! Nice you made an appearance. Can’t wait to see the finished photos. You will post, right?

Gus is adorable! I never understood what type of materials are used for building in the US. Not a brick in sight. Hey, at least you are very productive… dogs, run, shower, dressed before 7.30am… that’s a lot!
What a daring woman… some people go through decades of planning and they just change the color of the walls… you just… changed the walls!

Bless you for living with this chaos! with my bathroom at least I can close the door and not be surrounded with the construction zone.

Soooo exciting. I can’t wait to see how it turns out. You’re contractor seems to be doing a good job keeping it relatively clean so that’s something. Where’s Hannah?

Ha! It’s like dejavu. This is remarkably similar to the work we had done in our dining/living room! I can sympathize with your construction woes, particularly the dust that comes off that plaster.
