Great!
Thanks. A. Lot!
You did it again!
I am now distracted ONCE MORE from the pile that I swore I would get through with your suggestion of “I Shock Myself.” AND it’s available at my local library.
p.s. If you want to feel like you’ve accomplished something, “And the Pursuit of Happiness” is a 1 hour read.

Gah! 1Q84 is a bear of a book. I finally finished it while on vacation, had to push through those last 200 pages. I liked The Marriage Plot, yes Middlesex is kind of in a class of its own, but this latest novel is an entertaining read. Made me feel like I was back at school taking comp-lit classes. LOVED State of Wonder and The Pursuit of Happiness. You should consider reading Truth & Beauty as a companion to the Lucy Grealy book. I haven’t read Autobiography of a Face (need to!) T&B is about Patchett and Grealy’s friendship and time together at Sarah Lawrence.
