san francisco polaroids
i lugged my digital SLR camera around during my 3 days in san francisco, but i didn’t use it once. even though i was surrounded by lush green vegetation, azure blue sky, and pastel buildings that one only sees in the city by the bay, i didn’t think i could capture their beauty. instead, i decided to focus on the details, using polaroid film:
street car, fisherman’s wharf
chinatown
co-op on 18th street in the mission

roxie theater on 16th street in the mission

best sandwich sign ever, on 16th street in the mission
i picked an amazing weekend to be in california, and i’m sad that it’ll be at least 2 months before our weather is as warm and our landscape as green. but i have spring to look forward to! and having a break in the blah-est month is something i need to do every winter.

You got to go to lunch with Sonya? I’m so jealous. She was one of my few true friends when I lived in the city, and I still really miss her and her family. I’m glad the weather was lovely for you!
