little collections
i recently noticed the little collections i have around the house: groups of 5-10 “somethings” that sit on a shelf, or in a bowl…
some collections are grouped by color:
some are grouped by type:
and some are just random:
while they’re a pain in the ass to dust, they bring me comfort and good memories.

i think it’s always curious and/or revealing – the little mementos and collections people have around their houses. my inner amateur anthropologist wonders why we collect things? but then i think you answered that one, comfort and good memories!
p.s. i think i may have shed a sweet, happy tear when i saw the crocheted stone next to the minature horse.

yes, house shaped scrub brush. best. when your collections are unearthed a million years from now people will say, she must have been a really kisckass homosapien with exquisite taste.
