felted stones

felted stones
since i have ton of roving from madeline island and stones from the lake superior shore, i decided it was time to make some paperweights. i used resurrection fern’s lazy girl’s guide to felting rocks. and my fingers didn’t get prune-y!

There is something very inviting about these rocks with sweaters! Nice colors on your rock pile!

What i like about handfelted stones is that they are easy to make and so beautiful!

Nicely done! I’m thinking these would make good stocking stuffers.

these remind me of some felted rocks that i saw yesterday in the walker gift shop — only they didn’t have the rocks inside – and i like the function that comes along with the weight. — also reminds me of a bar of soap that my sister-in-law had that was a felted-wool ball with soap “built-in” …. love the variety of ideas!!!

I was thinking the same thing about the stocking stuffers! I’m going to have to figure out where to find some good stones or “smoothpebbles”.

Felt stones rock but don’t be stupid like Dan and I…see I made felted stones with and without a real pebble inside. And we where joking around and I almost killed Dan by accident when a “real felted pebble” hit him…it was supposed to be a soft one but I got a little carried away!!!
