piles

i’ve got my work cut out for me.
(yes, i know, terrible pun.)
i’ve got a couple of new things i’m working on, and have spent the last 2 tuesday nights at minnesota center for book arts, taking advantage of open studio. i’m still giddy about paying only $10 a night to cut as much stuff as i want. kinkos would charge me $10 just to cut a ream of paper into 4′s. i’m terribly lucky to have mcba at my disposal (and so cheap!) and i don’t have to worry about someone else messing up my paper or boards.
hoping to show you the new stuff in the next week or two! happy weekend!

I love terrible puns. And I love papercutting. I’d pay $10 just for the therapy of cutting paper even if I didn’t take any home!

i would pay $10 to watch you cut up all those pretty papers because i’d end up in the hospital from paper cuts – i love those rainbow colors. you also meet interesting, like-minded people there and they you when you walk in the door.
have a great weekend!

I keep getting invitations from my friend in MO to come up and use her cutter, which apparently will do what takes me all day in 5 minutes. Granted it will take me 7 hours to drive to her house.

i’m actually quite envious that you have this resource so available to you. look at those delicious stacks of cut paper!

I miss working at MCBA! I love that they have open studio nights—they really get the fact that if you make it affordable for artists to do their work, you’ll have a loyal audience forever. We really need more MCBAs in the world—ahem, Seattle? I’m talking to you.
