color!

i’ve had a few people tell me that i really should figure out a way to insert a colored piece of paper into my punched cards, because the design just doesn’t stand out enough when there’s no contrast. while these people do have a perfectly good point, i didn’t want the design to stand out. i liked the cards white, and i want the punched design to be subtle.
but then cindy asked if i had considered using duplex paper (paper with different colors on each side). with a little groan, i checked a few of my paper sources, and started to like the idea more and more. i found some bright colors, and i couldn’t be happier with the results. thanks for pushing me outside of my comfort zone, cindy!
the new cards are listed in my etsy shop!

They do look lovely! Not that they’re better than the more subtle ones, which I love, but it’s great that you have such a variety now.

I see no reason why you can’t make both kinds of cards. 1 subtle, 1 snappy. I like both kinds and I’m glad you got the nudge you needed to broaden your view.

Oh, MAN. I had a little fit of joy when I saw these. I’ve always loved your punch cards for their subtlety and smart design…but these. Oh, these. They tickle my brain. And they’re so beautifully photographed! Definitely putting on my “to buy” list.

this are pretty. however, I TOTALLY LOVE the previous ones better. don’t discontinue them, pet. subtle punch detail is fab… follow your instincts, man.
