it’s here! the book that jen and i have been working on arrived on monday. and i love it! i was worried i’d find a major typo or realize that the colors i chose wouldn’t work well in print form, but so far so good! i’m still a little in shock that i’ve got a book out, so i’m at a loss for words…

my tulips bloomed over the weekend, and i was so excited to see yellow! this is the only second year i’ve had the tulips come up, and i couldn’t remember what colors they were… after hunting for yellow over the winter, it’s such a joy to see yellow in nature again.

spring is here! in the short span of a week, the grass has turned green, my tulips have forced their way through the ground, my rhubarb and columbine have grown 2 inches, and the chives are sweet in a simple salad. after such an agonizing wait, it is spring, and i want to savor every minute of it. i hope spring has found salt lake city, too.
